- 1 inch ginger root (peeled and cubed)
- ¼ cup coconut water
- ⅙ apple (cubed)
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
Put all the ingredients in a blender.Load the coconut water, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, ginger, and apple into the blender in that order. Blend until combined.Blend on low speed for 10 seconds, then increase to high for 30 seconds. Strain the liquid.Strain the mixture into a measuring cup, pressing down with a spoon to get all the juice out. Pour into a shot glass.Serve immediately.

- For the best flavor, use fresh lemon juice instead bottled.
- For the healthiest choice, use a coconut water without added sweeteners or ingredients.
- If you don't have apple, use a splash of apple juice for sweetness.
- If you want a less spicy ginger shot, use more apple and less ginger. You can also leave out the cayenne pepper.
