Equipment

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop collagen powder
  • ½ banana (sliced)
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries

Instructions

  • Put almond milk, collagen powder, banana, and frozen strawberries into a blender. Secure lid.
Place ingredients into the blender in the order listed.
  • Blend until smooth.
Start the blender on LOW speed for 10 seconds. Increase speed to HIGH for a full minute.
  • Pour smoothie into a cup. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Almond milk is the liquid base for this smoothie but you can use any milk you prefer, including dairy and plant-based options. Examples include oat milk, hemp milk, and coconut milk.
  • If freezing your own strawberries, half or quarter them before putting them in the freezer. This will make it easier for your blender to chop them up.
  • Only use ripe bananas, which have a yellow peel and some dark brown spots. Avoid unripe bananas because they're bitter and don't taste good in smoothies. Unripe bananas have a green peel.
  • Add a bit of milk and blend for 10 seconds if the smoothie is too thick.
  • To store extra smoothie, pour it in an airtight glass jar and keep it in the refrigerator. Be sure to drink it within 1-2 days.
