Ingredients

Instructions

  • Put unsweetened almond milk, date syrup, strawberry powder, vanilla protein powder, and banana into a blender. Secure lid.
Place ingredients into the blender in the order listed.
  • Blend until smooth.
Start the blender on LOW speed for 5 seconds. Increase speed to HIGH for 20 seconds.
  • Pour shake into a cup. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Unsweetened almond milk is a great choice for protein shakes because it has a fairly neutral flavor. If you want to increase the protein content of your drink, use soy milk or dairy milk.
  • Add another 1 tablespoon of strawberry powder for a deeper strawberry flavor.
  • For a less sweet drink, omit the date syrup.
  • If you prefer icier protein shakes, add a few ice cubes with the fresh banana. Another option is to use frozen banana.
  • Always check the packaging of your protein powder before using it. The label will explain how much to use per drink.
  • Drink your protein shake as soon as possible. It can be stored in the fridge for 1-2 days, but the ingredients will most likely separate. Just give it a shake or stir before drinking.
