Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop collagen powder
  • 1 Medjool date (pitted)
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 ¼ cups frozen blueberries

Instructions

  • Put unsweetened almond milk, collagen powder, Medjool date, baby spinach, and frozen blueberries into a blender. Secure lid.
Place ingredients into the blender in the order listed.
  • Blend until smooth.
Start the blender on LOW speed for 10 seconds. Increase speed to HIGH for a full minute.
  • Pour smoothie into a cup. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • With a fairly neutral flavor, almond milk is great in smoothies. Feel free to use other types of milk, like soy milk or hemp milk.
  • When freezing your own blueberries, always put them in a single even layer. This will avoid big chunks of berries.
  • If your blender isn't very powerful, chop the Medjool date before adding it in.
  • Leave out the Medjool date if you want a less sweet smoothie.
  • Add a splash of milk if the smoothie is too thick, then blend for 10 seconds.
  • You can save leftover smoothie in a glass jar for 1-2 days. The ingredients will likely separate, so be sure to mix it before drinking.
