Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon date syrup
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • ½ banana (sliced)
  • 1 ½ cups frozen dragon fruit

Instructions

  • Put unsweetened almond milk, date syrup, chia seeds, banana, and frozen dragon fruit into a blender. Secure lid.
Place ingredients into the blender in the order listed.
  • Blend until smooth.
Start the blender on LOW speed for 10 seconds. Increase speed to HIGH for a full minute.
  • Pour smoothie into a cup. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Instead of almond milk, you can use dairy milk or other plant-based options like soy milk or oat milk.
  • For the best flavor and texture, only use ripe bananas. Avoid unripe bananas, which are green and too firm.
  • If freezing your own dragon fruit, cut it into cubes before putting it in the freezer.
  • Omit the date syrup for a less sweet drink.
  • Add some milk if the smoothie is too thick. Blend for another 10 seconds to combine.
  • Refrigerate leftover smoothie in an airtight jar for 1-2 days. If the ingredients separate, mix the smoothie before drinking.
