Equipment

Ingredients

  • ½ cup milk (any kind)
  • ¼ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 banana (sliced)
  • 1 ½ cup frozen strawberries

Instructions

  • Put milk, Greek yogurt, sliced banana, and frozen strawberries into a blender. Secure lid.
Place ingredients into the blender in the order listed.
  • Blend until smooth.
Start the blender on LOW speed for 10 seconds. Increase speed to HIGH for 30 additional seconds.
  • Pour smoothie into a cup. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Any type of milk can be used, including dairy-free, like hemp milk or oat milk.
  • Using too much frozen fruit will make this smoothie harder to blend, so choose just one fruit to use in frozen form. For this recipe, you can opt for fresh strawberries and frozen banana for the same results.
  • If using fresh strawberries, always remove the green tops before adding them to the blender.
  • If the smoothie is too thick, add a small amount of milk and blend for 10 seconds.
  • Leftover smoothies can be stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 days in an airtight glass container.
