Equipment

Ingredients

  • ½ cup milk (any kind)
  • ½ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 Medjool date (pitted)
  • 1 ½ cups frozen strawberries

Instructions

  • Put milk, Greek yogurt, pitted Medjool date, and frozen strawberries into a blender. Secure lid.
Place ingredients into the blender in the order listed.
  • Blend until smooth.
Start the blender on LOW speed for 10 seconds. Increase speed to HIGH for a full minute.
  • Pour smoothie into a cup. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Skip the date if you want a less sweet smoothie.
  • If your blender isn’t powerful, it might have a hard time blending the Medjool date. You can cut the it into small pieces. This will ensure there are no big chunks of date in your smoothie.
  • Add a bit of milk and blend for 10 seconds if the smoothie is too thick.
  • Smoothies are best enjoyed right after they’re made. To store leftovers, keep them in the refrigerator for 1-2 days in an airtight glass container. It’s normal for the ingredients to separate, so stir it before drinking.
